Responsible Gambling at Rollxo — Tools, Limits & Getting Help
Online gambling is entertainment, not a guaranteed income. This page covers the warning signs of problem gambling, the tools Rollxo provides to keep play in control, and the free Australian support services available if you need them.
Rollxo Casino is for adults aged 18 and over. Gambling should be treated as paid entertainment — like a concert ticket or a night out — where the money spent is the cost of the experience, and any winnings are a bonus, not an expectation. Most players who gamble recreationally do so safely. For a smaller number, gambling can become harmful. The tools and support services on this page are for everyone.
Warning Signs of Problem Gambling
Problem gambling does not always look like addiction. It can develop gradually. The following behaviours are specific signs that gambling may have shifted from entertainment to harm:
- Chasing losses — increasing bet sizes or session length specifically to recover money already lost, rather than because you are enjoying the game
- Hiding gambling from family or friends — being secretive about how much time or money you spend on gambling, or feeling the need to lie about it
- Borrowing money to gamble — using credit cards, personal loans, or money borrowed from family or friends to fund gambling sessions
- Gambling to escape problems — using gambling as a way to avoid or numb stress, anxiety, depression or relationship difficulties rather than addressing them directly
- Restlessness or irritability when not gambling — feeling unable to relax or enjoy other activities when you are not playing
- Neglecting responsibilities — missing work, study commitments or family events because of gambling time or gambling-related financial stress
- Failed attempts to cut back — deciding to stop or reduce gambling and finding you cannot stick to that decision
- Preoccupation with gambling — spending significant time thinking about past sessions, planning next sessions or calculating how to fund more play
If any of these descriptions feel familiar, the support services listed below are free, confidential and staffed by people who understand gambling specifically — not just general wellbeing hotlines. There is no threshold you need to reach before calling. You do not need to have lost a specific amount of money or hit "rock bottom" to ask for support.
Responsible Gambling Tools Available at Rollxo
All of the following tools are available to every Rollxo account holder at no cost, accessible from Account → Responsible Gambling. They take effect immediately when set.
- Deposit limits — set a daily, weekly or monthly cap on the total amount you can deposit. Once set, a limit can be lowered at any time with immediate effect. Increasing a limit requires a 7-day cooling-off period before it takes effect — a deliberate friction designed to prevent impulsive limit increases.
- Loss limits — set a cap on the total amount you can lose per day, week or month. Once your net loss reaches the cap, your account is automatically restricted from further play for the rest of the limit period.
- Session-time reminders — a pop-up notification appears every 30 or 60 minutes (your choice) while you are logged in and active, showing total time played and net result for the session. You can dismiss it and continue playing, but it serves as a deliberate pause point.
- Reality check — available on demand from any page in your account. Displays a summary of deposits, withdrawals and net result for the current session. Useful for maintaining perspective during a long session.
- Self-exclusion — covered in detail in the section below.
How to Set Limits — Step-by-Step Instructions
- Log in to your Rollxo account on desktop or mobile.
- Click your account avatar or username in the top-right corner to open the account menu.
- Select Responsible Gambling from the dropdown menu.
- Choose the limit type you want to set: Deposit Limit, Loss Limit or Session Reminder.
- For deposit and loss limits, select the period (daily, weekly or monthly) and enter the amount in AUD.
- Click Confirm. The limit takes effect immediately for reductions. For increases, a 7-day waiting period is displayed — confirm if you still wish to proceed, understanding the delay is intentional.
You will receive an email confirmation of any limit you set. Keep this email as a record. If you believe a limit has been removed or changed without your action, contact Rollxo live chat immediately.
Self-Exclusion Process at Rollxo
Self-exclusion closes or restricts your Rollxo account for a set period. During exclusion, you cannot log in, make deposits or claim bonuses. Any balance remaining at the time of exclusion is paid out via your last withdrawal method — you do not lose access to your funds.
Rollxo offers the following exclusion periods:
- 24 hours — short cooling-off period
- 1 week
- 1 month
- 3 months
- 6 months
- Permanent — irreversible. Your account is closed and cannot be reopened under any circumstances, even if you later change your mind.
To self-exclude, go to Account → Responsible Gambling → Self-Exclusion, select your period and confirm. For permanent exclusion, you will be asked to confirm twice to prevent accidental activation. The exclusion takes effect within 24 hours.
If you are choosing self-exclusion due to a gambling problem, we strongly recommend also registering with BetStop (betstop.com.au), Australia's national self-exclusion register. BetStop exclusion covers all licensed interactive wagering services operating in Australia — including offshore casinos that have chosen to participate — from a single registration, without needing to contact each operator individually.
